Pain relief manufacturers are rubbing their hands together with the announcement of Sam Curtis returning for the sharks in 2022-23.
Curtis will again captain the first division side in all formats after a challenging 21-22 due to injury and travel.
Curtis is the only centurion at this level for Coolum and had a golden 12 month period between October 2020 – October 2021 where he scored 3 tons against Nambour 100*, Caboolture 109 & the highest first div score for the sharks, 161 against Gympie.
It’s likely that Curtis will partner new recruit Brendan Kelly at the top of the order for the sharks, which will resemble more of a second row in rugby than a cricket batting partnership.
Curtis is also the State Infrastructure Manager for Queensland Cricket, so will be more than happy to discuss facility development, particularly at grounds he isn’t successful on.
