Dear Parents,
We now have confirmation about the upcoming junior representative season. There are significant changes detailed below.
All details are now being worked out with regards to costs and we will provide that information once finalised. We kindly ask that you hold questions related to logistics until we can do some more work on this. We felt it important to get the dates to you first.
Please keep in mind that the prevailing health situation may mean all or some of the below may not happen.
Due to Budget costs Queensland Cricket is unable to subsidise the junior pathway this season. We will continue to monitor costs to keep them as low as possible.
Under 12 males
We will be selecting 2 teams definitely, possibly 3
One team to play in a non-residential carnival hosted by Met South West in the Moggill area. Dec 14-18 2020. Families are to arrange their own transport, meals and accommodation. At the moment it is the intention to provide lunches for the players and officials.
One team to play in the Ian Healy Cup in the Pine Rivers area Jan 4-8 2021. Families are to arrange their own transport, meals and accommodation. At the moment it is the intention to provide lunches for the players and officials. We will advise if a third term will be selected as soon as we can but no later than the end of August.
Under 13 males
We will be selecting 2 teams.
One team will play a series of home and away games on the following dates.

22 November 2020
Discussions are underway about the possibility of another 3 games in December TBC
One team will play in the Les Kinnane Shield in the Ipswich area Jan 4-8 2021. Families are to arrange their own transport, meals and accommodation. At the moment it is the intention to provide lunches for the players and officials. We have yet to receive confirmation of this carnival but understand the intention is to proceed. Failing that we are investigating another option in Lismore.
Under 14 males
This age group is very different from the past.
We will be selecting 2 teams.
One team will play a series of home and away games on the following dates.

After this last game a combined Sunshine Coast/Wide Bay team will be selected to become the Coastal Burners.
The Coastal Burners will play a non-residentialcarnival at The Southport School on the Gold Coast Dec 14-18 2020. Families are to arrange their own transport, meals and accommodation. At the moment it is the intention to provide lunches for the players and officials.
Independent of the Coastal Burners team, the Sunshine Coast will select a second team to play in the U14 Summer Carnival on the Sunshine Coast Jan 4-8 2021. Families are to arrange their own transport. At the moment it is the intention to provide lunches for the players and officials.
